Crosscut from Waterhole Vein to Sun Vein
Towards the eastern end of the Waterhole Vein a crosscut was driven in a southerly direction to the Sun Vein. This part appears to have been driven through a section of poor ground, possibly the base of a gulph. One wall and the roof appear in parts to be very large boulders cemented together with thin layers of clay. This section had been heavily timbered and supported by the miners. We decided that the best way to support this was with RSJ's bolted to the solid parts of the walls.
